Upon arrival at Jammu, you will be greeted by our local guide who will accompany you to Katra, the base camp for the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage. The journey from Jammu to Katra takes approximately 1.5 hours, offering scenic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
Upon reaching Katra, you will check in to your hotel and have some time to freshen up and relax. You can enjoy a traditional Kashmiri lunch at the hotel or at a local restaurant.
Visit the sacred Banganga Temple, which is the starting point of the trek to the Vaishno Devi Temple. Take a serene walk around the temple complex and witness devotees performing rituals and prayers.
Take a leisurely stroll through the vibrant local markets of Katra. You can shop for souvenirs, traditional handicrafts, and local delicacies. Enjoy the lively atmosphere and interact with the friendly locals.
Begin your spiritual journey with a trek to the Vaishno Devi Temple. The trek is approximately 14 kilometres long and takes around 6-7 hours to reach the temple. En route, enjoy the serene natural beauty and the company of fellow pilgrims.
Upon reaching the temple, join the queue for the sacred darshan (blessed glimpse) of the holy cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi. Experience a deeply spiritual and uplifting moment in the presence of the divine.
For those seeking a more challenging trek, you can continue further to visit the Bhairon Temple, located at an altitude of approximately 6619 feet. The additional trek is approximately 2.5 kilometres from the Vaishno Devi Temple.
After a spiritually fulfilling day, begin your descent back to Katra. Take in the breathtaking views as you make your way down the mountain. Once back in Katra, relax and reflect on your pilgrimage experience.
Visit the Ardh Kuwari Temple, which is situated approximately 4.5 kilometres from Katra. It holds a special significance as it is believed to be the place where Mata Vaishno Devi meditated for nine months.
Take a ropeway ride to Sanjichhat, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. It's a perfect spot for some serene contemplation and photography.
After a fulfilling pilgrimage and exploration of Katra, it's time to depart. Our guide will assist you with the transfer to Jammu Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
