In the morning, head to Kedarnath Temple, one of the most famous Shiva temples in India. This temple is located at an altitude of 11,755 feet and is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Afternoon can be spent visiting the Bhairav Temple, located nearby. In the evening, take a stroll around the temple complex and enjoy the beautiful views of the Himalayas.
Start the day early and head towards Vasuki Tal Lake, a high altitude lake located at an altitude of 14,200 feet. The trek is a bit challenging but provides some breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Spend the afternoon by the lake, picnicking and enjoying the serene surroundings. In the evening, head back to Kedarnath and relax at your hotel.
Spend the day trekking to Gandhi Sarovar, a beautiful high altitude lake named after Mahatma Gandhi. The trek is moderately difficult and takes about three hours to reach. Enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers. Spend the afternoon picnicking by the lake. In the evening, head back to Kedarnath for your last night in this beautiful city.
If you have extra time, consider visiting the nearby Triyuginarayan Temple, where Lord Shiva is believed to have married Parvati. You can also take a helicopter ride to get a bird's eye view of the Himalayas. Remember to pack comfortable shoes, warm clothing, and sunscreen. Finally, don't forget to try the local cuisine, including dal makhani, rajma chawal, and aloo ke gutke.
