Kanniyakumari 2-Day Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit the Kanyakumari Temple
    10 minutes (3 km) from Kanyakumari Beach

    In the morning, visit the Kanyakumari Temple, a popular Hindu pilgrimage site, and pay your respects to the goddess Kumari Amman. Admire the stunning architecture and intricate carvings of the temple. Afterward, enjoy a delicious South Indian breakfast at the nearby Saravana Restaurant. In the afternoon, head to Vivekananda Rock Memorial, which can be reached by a short ferry ride. The memorial is dedicated to Swami Vivekananda, a famous Indian monk, and offers stunning views of the ocean. Finally, in the evening, enjoy the sunset at Kanyakumari Beach, famous for its unique geography, where the Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean meet.

    In the morning, visit the Thiruvalluvar Statue, a 133-feet tall stone sculpture honoring the ancient Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar. The statue can be reached by a short ferry ride from Kanyakumari. Enjoy the panoramic views of the ocean from the statue's pedestal. For lunch, head to the nearby Tamil Nadu Hotel and enjoy a traditional vegetarian meal. In the afternoon, visit Padmanabhapuram Palace, located in the nearby town of Padmanabhapuram. The palace is famous for its intricate wooden carvings and is a perfect example of traditional Kerala architecture. In the evening, return to Kanyakumari and enjoy a stroll along the beach.
