Family Friendly 3-Day Itinerary for Delhi in December 2023

  1. Day 1: Red Fort
    30 minutes (8.5 km) from Indira Gandhi International Airport

  2. Day 2: India Gate

    Begin the day at India Gate, a war memorial dedicated to the Indian soldiers who lost their lives in World War I. Enjoy a leisurely picnic in the gardens surrounding the monument or take a boat ride in the nearby lake. For lunch, head to Karim's, a famous restaurant that serves authentic Mughlai cuisine.   3. Day 3: Qutub Minar

Afterwards, visit the nearby Mehrauli Archaeological Park, a vast complex that houses ancient monuments such as tombs, mosques and step wells. For lunch, head to Hauz Khas Village, a trendy neighbourhood with a wide range of restaurants and cafes. In the afternoon, explore the bustling streets of Chandni Chowk and indulge in some shopping and street food. In the evening, watch a Bollywood movie at the iconic Raj Mandir Cinema.

If you have time, consider visiting the Akshardham Temple, a massive Hindu temple complex with beautiful architecture and gardens. You can also take a day trip to Agra to see one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal.
