4-Day Itinerary for Goa in October 2023

  1. Day 1: Fort Aguada and Beaches in North Goa
    20 minutes (6.4 km) from Goa International Airport

    Start your morning by visiting the historic Fort Aguada, which was built in the 17th century by the Portuguese. Take a guided tour of the fort and learn about its history. After that, head to Calangute Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Goa. Have lunch at one of the shacks on the beach and try some local seafood. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach or participating in water sports such as parasailing or jet skiing. In the evening, explore the nearby Baga Beach which has numerous restaurants and bars.

  2. Day 2: Old Goa and Basilica of Bom Jesus
    30 minutes (10.1 km) from North Goa Beaches

    Begin your day by visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Old Goa, which was once the capital of Portuguese India. Visit some of the oldest churches in Goa such as Se Cathedral, Church of St. Francis of Assisi and Chapel of St. Catherine. Next, head to the Basilica of Bom Jesus, which houses the remains of St. Francis Xavier. Have lunch at a local restaurant and try some traditional Goan cuisine.   3. Day 3: Dudhsagar Waterfalls and Spice Plantations

    Get an early start and head to the Dudhsagar Waterfalls, which is one of the tallest waterfalls in India. Take a dip in the refreshing water and enjoy the scenic beauty. After that, head to a spice plantation and take a guided tour of the plantation. Learn about the different spices and their uses in Goan cuisine. Have lunch at the plantation and try some authentic Goan food. Spend the evening at Colva Beach, which is known for its white sand and scenic beauty.

  4. Day 4: Aguada-Siolim Road and Chapora Fort
    1 hour 30 minutes (42.5 km) from Dudhsagar Waterfalls
