Public transportation in Crete is very affordable, but you can also rent a bike, car or scooter. The best way to explore the island is by local bus or by using the popular KTEL Bus Service. A single ticket costs only €2, and a day ticket costs €6. A taxi ride from Chania International Airport to Kato Daratso is around €35, and it takes 25 minutes.
