If you have time, you can also visit the Wular Lake and Manasbal Lake, both of which are beautiful lakes located near Srinagar. You can also take a side trip to Gulmarg, which is a popular ski resort that is located about 2 hours from Srinagar. To maximize your fun, try to book your shikara ride in advance, as it can get crowded during peak season. Don't forget to try some traditional Kashmiri food, such as Rogan Josh and Dum Aloo.
