Kerala 3-Day Itinerary - June 2023

  1. Day 1: Fort Kochi
    1 hour 20 minutes (38.1 km) from Cochin International Airport

    In the morning, visit the Dutch Palace, also known as Mattancherry Palace, to see its beautiful murals and artifacts. Then, head to the Jewish Synagogue, the oldest active synagogue in the Commonwealth of Nations. In the afternoon, explore the Fort Kochi Beach and watch the Chinese fishing nets in action. Later, visit St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India. In the evening, watch a Kathakali performance at the Kerala Kathakali Centre.

  2. Day 2: Munnar
    4 hours 30 minutes (132.4 km) from Fort Kochi

    Start your day by visiting the Tea Museum to learn about the history and production of tea in Munnar. Then, head to the Mattupetty Dam for a scenic view of the lake and mountains. In the afternoon, visit the Eravikulam National Park to see the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and enjoy a nature walk. Later, visit the Rose Garden and enjoy the beautiful flowers. In the evening, relax at your hotel and enjoy the scenic beauty of Munnar.

  3. Day 3: Alleppey
    4 hours 50 minutes (142.5 km) from Munnar

    Take a morning drive to Alleppey, also known as the "Venice of the East", and board a houseboat for an unforgettable experience on the backwaters. Enjoy lunch on the houseboat as you cruise through the serene backwaters, passing by beautiful rice paddies and villages. In the afternoon, visit the Alleppey Beach to relax and enjoy the sunset. Later, take a stroll through the local markets to buy souvenirs. In the evening, enjoy a dinner on the houseboat and spend the night under the stars.

If you have extra time, consider visiting the Athirappilly Waterfalls, the largest waterfall in Kerala, or the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary for a chance to see elephants, tigers, and other wildlife.
