Vagamon Itinerary for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Vagamon Meadows
    10 minutes (3.7 km) from Vagamon Bus Stand

    Start your day by visiting the picturesque Vagamon Meadows, surrounded by lush greenery and magnificent hills. Take a walk and enjoy the fresh air and scenic beauty. You can have a picnic with your family or friends, go for a horse ride or simply relax and soak in the serene surroundings. In the afternoon, head to the Pine Forest which is just 15 minutes away. Here, you can take a stroll amidst the tall pine trees and enjoy a peaceful time. In the evening, visit the Thangal Para, a sacred place for Muslims, which is just 20 minutes away. The calm and soothing atmosphere is perfect for meditation or introspection.

  2. Day 2: Murugan Hill
    20 minutes (7.5 km) from Vagamon Meadows

    Start your day by visiting the Murugan Hill, a popular pilgrimage spot for Hindus. The temple is located on top of a hill, and you can either climb the stairs or take a cable car to reach the temple. The view from the top is breathtaking, and you can also enjoy the cool breeze. In the afternoon, head to the Vagamon Orchidarium and Floriculture Project, which is just 30 minutes away. Here, you can see a variety of flowers and learn about their cultivation. In the evening, visit the Vagamon Lake, which is just 15 minutes away. You can take a boat ride or simply sit by the lake and enjoy the sunset.

  3. Day 3: Kurisumala Ashram
    30 minutes (11.2 km) from Murugan Hill

    Start your day by visiting the Kurisumala Ashram, a Christian pilgrimage centre located on a hill. The serene atmosphere and the beautiful surroundings make it a perfect place for meditation and spiritual retreat. In the afternoon, head to the Mundakayam Ghat, which is just 45 minutes away. The winding roads and lush greenery make it a scenic drive. You can stop at the viewpoints and take some pictures. In the evening, visit the Vagamon Pine Valley, which is just 30 minutes away. Here, you can take a walk in the pine forest and enjoy the cool breeze.

While in Vagamon, you can also consider visiting the Kurisumala Dairy Farm, a dairy farm that produces a variety of milk products. You can also visit the Thangal Hill, a sacred place for Muslims.
