Take a morning stroll around the Nijo Market, a bustling seafood market where vendors sell fresh catches of the day, such as crab, salmon, squid, and other seafood. Afterwards, indulge in a seafood feast at one of the market's restaurants, where you can try some of Hokkaido's finest seafood dishes.
Head to Odori Park, a large public park that hosts various events and festivals throughout the year. During the winter, the park transforms into a snow festival, featuring enormous snow sculptures and ice slides. Afterwards, warm up with a bowl of hot and savory Hokkaido-style ramen at one of the nearby ramen shops.
Take a scenic cable car ride up to the top of Mount Moiwa, which offers panoramic views of Sapporo and the surrounding mountains. During the winter, the mountain is popular for skiing and snowboarding. Later, visit the Hokkaido Shrine, a serene Shinto shrine surrounded by nature. The shrine features several torii gates and a beautiful garden that is especially picturesque during the cherry blossom season.
Most of the destinations on this itinerary can be reached via public transportation, such as the subway or bus. For the Mount Moiwa cable car, a shuttle bus is available from the nearest subway station. The estimated travel costs total 2000 yen for four days of transportation.
