5-Day Andaman Itinerary for August 2023

  1. Day 1: Port Blair
    2.5 hours (30 miles) from Veer Savarkar International Airport

    In the morning, visit the Cellular Jail National Memorial, a colonial prison turned national memorial. In the afternoon, head to Ross Island, a deserted island with remnants of British colonial rule. Watch the sound and light show at the Cellular Jail in the evening.

  2. Day 2: Havelock Island
    2.5 hours (38 miles) by ferry from Port Blair

    Spend the morning at Radhanagar Beach, rated as one of the best beaches in Asia. In the afternoon, explore the coral reefs and marine life by snorkeling or scuba diving. Take a night walk on the beach to witness the bioluminescence of the planktons.

  3. Day 3: Neil Island
    1.5 hours (18 miles) by ferry from Havelock Island

    In the morning, visit the natural rock formation of Howrah Bridge and the serene Laxmanpur Beach. In the afternoon, explore the Bharatpur Beach for coral viewing and water activities. Experience the local village life by visiting the farming and fishing communities in the evening.

  4. Day 4: Diglipur
    6 hours (180 miles) from Port Blair

    Visit the Ross and Smith Islands, two separate islands connected by a sandbar. Enjoy the beautiful beaches and the scenic view. Take a short trek to the Saddle Peak National Park, the highest point of Andaman. Witness the turtle nesting at Ramnagar Beach in the evening.

  5. Day 5: Baratang Island
    3 hours (64 miles) from Port Blair

    In the morning, visit the limestone caves of Baratang Island and explore the mangrove forests by boat. In the afternoon, head to the Parrot Island to witness the sunset and the flock of parrots. Take a night kayaking tour to witness the bioluminescence of the mangroves.

Don't miss the Jolly Buoy Island for its crystal-clear waters and amazing marine life. Take a side trip to the Little Andaman Island for surfing and trekking.
