Rajasthan 7-Day Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Jaipur
    20 minutes (7.8 km) from Jaipur International Airport

    In the morning, visit the Amber Fort, a beautiful palace complex built in the 16th century. In the afternoon, explore the City Palace, a stunning example of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Finish the day with a visit to the Hawa Mahal, a palace with unique honeycomb-like windows.

  3. Day 3: Udaipur

  6. Day 6: Ajmer

    Visit the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, a Sufi shrine that attracts millions of pilgrims every year. Then, head to the Taragarh Fort, a hilltop fortress with stunning views of the city. In the evening, explore the Ana Sagar Lake and enjoy a peaceful boat ride.

  7. Day 7: Ranthambore National Park
    3 hours (160 km) from Ajmer

    Spend the day on a safari at Ranthambore National Park, one of the best places in India to spot tigers in the wild. Enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings and keep an eye out for other wildlife such as leopards, sloth bears, and crocodiles.

Recommendations

Don't miss the chance to witness the Gangaur Festival in Udaipur in June, a colorful festival celebrating the goddess Gauri. Side trips to Bikaner and Mount Abu are also possible. Make sure to try the local Rajasthani cuisine, such as dal bati churma and gatte ki sabzi. Lastly, make sure to stay hydrated and wear light, comfortable clothing to beat the heat.
