Bangalore to Coorg: 3-Day Nature Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Dubare Elephant Camp
    4 hours (160 km) from Bangalore

    In the morning, head to the Dubare Elephant Camp where you can learn about elephants and their habitat. You can even help bathe the elephants in the river. After lunch, visit the nearby Nisargadhama Forest, an island formed by the Kaveri River. Here, you can walk across the hanging bridge and observe the beautiful flora and fauna. In the evening, relax by the riverside and watch the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Abbey Falls
    1 hour 45 minutes (73 km) from Dubare Elephant Camp

    Begin the day with a visit to Abbey Falls, one of Coorg's most popular waterfalls. You can take a short trek through the coffee plantations to reach the falls. Afterwards, make your way to the Raja's Seat, a beautiful garden that offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills. End the day with a visit to the Omkareshwara Temple, a stunning blend of Islamic and Gothic-style architecture.

  3. Day 3: Brahmagiri Peak
    3 hours (126 km) from Abbey Falls

    Head to the Brahmagiri Peak in the morning, a beautiful trekking destination that offers breathtaking views of the Western Ghats. The trek takes around 4 hours and passes through dense forests and grasslands. After the trek, visit the Thirunelli Temple, an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. End the day with a visit to the Pakshipathalam Bird Sanctuary, a paradise for bird watchers.
