Kanyakumari, located at the southernmost tip of India, is a nature lover's paradise. Start your morning by watching the sunrise over the ocean from the Vivekananda Rock Memorial. Afterward, visit the Thiruvalluvar Statue, a 133-foot-tall stone sculpture dedicated to the Tamil poet and philosopher. In the afternoon, head to the Kanyakumari Beach, where the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean meet. The beach also has a beautiful lighthouse, which offers a panoramic view of the coastline. In the evening, take a ferry to the stunning Tsunami Memorial Park, built in memory of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami victims. End your day by watching the sunset at the Kanyakumari Beach.

Start your day by visiting the Azhimala Shivan Temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is located on a hill and offers a stunning view of the Arabian Sea. In the afternoon, head to Varkala Beach, a serene and picturesque beach that is perfect for relaxing and sunbathing. You can also take a dip in the natural spring waters that run along the beach. In the evening, visit the Sivagiri Mutt, a spiritual center located on a hill. The mutt was established by the great social reformer Sree Narayana Guru, and it attracts thousands of visitors every year. Don't miss the sunset view from here.

If you have time, you can also visit the Padmanabhapuram Palace, a magnificent palace located 35 km from Kanyakumari. You can also take a day trip to the nearby Poovar Island, which is famous for its backwaters and golden sand beach. Another option is to visit the Mathur Hanging Trough, an engineering marvel built in 1966 to transport water from one side of the valley to the other. To maximize your fun, try the local cuisine, which is a unique blend of South Indian and Tamil cuisine. Finally, don't forget to pack sunscreen and a hat, as the weather can get quite hot and humid during May. Plan your trip by visiting https://trip.tp.st/5u0O2Vxp for hotels and flights.
