Exploring Udaipur: A 4-day Itinerary for June 2023

  1. Day 1: City Palace
    10 minutes (2.5 km) from Udaipur City Railway Station

    In the morning, visit the City Palace, a beautiful blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Spend your afternoon exploring the crystal gallery and vintage car museum. In the evening, take a boat ride on Lake Pichola to enjoy the stunning view of the palace and the surrounding hills.

  2. Day 2: Jagdish Temple, Fateh Sagar Lake, and Saheliyon ki Bari
    20 minutes (5.1 km) from City Palace

    Start your day with a visit to Jagdish Temple, one of the most popular temples in Udaipur. Then, head to Fateh Sagar Lake, a serene spot for boating and enjoying the breathtaking view of the Aravalli hills. In the afternoon, visit Saheliyon ki Bari, a beautiful garden complex with fountains and marble elephants. End your day with a visit to the Bagore ki Haveli, a Rajasthani mansion that hosts a cultural show every evening.

  3. Day 3: Monsoon Palace and Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary
    45 minutes (12.5 km) from Fateh Sagar Lake

    Today, visit the Monsoon Palace, also known as Sajjangarh Palace, to enjoy panoramic views of the city and the surrounding hills. In the afternoon, head to the Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary, home to various species of animals and birds. Take a jungle safari to explore the flora and fauna of the region. In the evening, return to the city and relax at one of the rooftop restaurants overlooking Lake Pichola.

  4. Day 4: Vintage Car Museum and Ahar Cenotaphs
    15 minutes (3.6 km) from Monsoon Palace

    On your last day, visit the Vintage Car Museum again to admire the rare collection of vintage cars, including the Rolls Royce, Cadillac, and Mercedes-Benz. Then, head to the Ahar Cenotaphs to explore the royal cenotaphs and learn about the history of the Maharanas of Mewar. In the evening, enjoy some shopping at Hathi Pol Bazaar and take home some souvenirs for your loved ones.

If you have time, visit the Eklingji Temple, a popular temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and the Nagda Temple, an ancient temple complex with stunning carvings and architecture. You can also plan a day trip to the Kumbhalgarh Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Ranakpur Jain Temple, a beautiful temple complex with intricate marble carvings.
