Recommendations

If you have more time, consider visiting Nubra Valley, a high-altitude desert with sand dunes and Bactrian camels. You can also take a thrilling rafting trip down the Zanskar River. To maximize your fun, try some local delicacies like momos and thukpa, and don't forget to try the famous Ladakhi butter tea. For a side trip, you can visit the nearby town of Alchi, which has some of the oldest surviving Buddhist murals and statues in Ladakh. Finally, make sure to carry warm clothes as the temperature can drop drastically in November.
