  • 9:00AM: Asahiyama Memorial Park

    Start your day at Asahiyama Memorial Park, a beautiful park where you can immerse yourself in the natural environment that Hokkaido is known for. Be sure to visit the rose garden and take a stroll through the forests.

  • 11:00AM: Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill
    35 minutes (16 km) from Asahiyama Memorial Park

    Next, head to Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill where you can see an incredible view of Sapporo City and Odori Park. Take a relaxing walk around the hilltop, and then visit the sheep ranch where over 100 sheep are kept.

  • 1:00PM: Hokkaido Jingu Shrine
    30 minutes (12 km) from Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill

    For a bit of culture, visit Hokkaido Jingu Shrine, a Shinto Shrine with a peaceful atmosphere. Surrounded by trees, it is a great place to escape the city for a while and take in some greenery.

  • 3:00PM: Mount Moiwa Ropeway
    30 minutes (12 km) from Hokkaido Jingu Shrine

    Finish off your day with a stunning view of Sapporo city from the top of Mount Moiwa. Take the ropeway to the summit and admire the panoramic view from the observation deck. As you make your way back down to the base, watch the city lights come to life.

There are two airports near Sapporo: New Chitose Airport (CTS) and Okadama Airport (OKD). New Chitose is the main international airport and is located about 47 km southeast of Sapporo city center, while Okadama is a domestic airport located about 8 km north of the city center.
