Exploring Coorg, Chikmagalur and Agumbhe in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Abbey Falls, Coorg
    30 minutes (9.5 miles) from Madikeri

    Start your day with a visit to the picturesque Abbey Falls. Surrounded by lush greenery, the falls are a serene sight to behold. You can take a refreshing dip in the pool below, or simply admire the beauty of the waterfall. Afternoon can be spent visiting the Omkareshwara Temple, which boasts a unique mix of Islamic and Gothic architecture. In the evening, head to the Raja's Seat, a beautiful garden with a stunning view of the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Mullayanagiri, Chikmagalur
    2 hours 20 minutes (69 miles) from Coorg

    Set out early for a day trip to Mullayanagiri, the highest peak in Karnataka. A trek to the top promises breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Afternoon can be spent at the coffee plantations, where you can learn about the coffee-making process and sample some of the finest blends.     Start your day by visiting the Agumbhe Fort, a historic stone fort built in the 17th century. The fort offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Afternoon can be spent visiting the Bhadra Dam, one of the largest dams in Karnataka. You can take a boat ride on the dam and enjoy the scenic views. In the evening, head to the Kudremukh National Park, known for its diverse flora and fauna. It is a perfect place for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts.
