4-Day Udaipure Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: City Palace
    10 minutes (2.3 km) from Udaipur City Railway Station

    Start the day at the City Palace, one of the most magnificent palaces in India. You'll need at least 3 hours to explore its sprawling complex of courtyards, gardens, and museums. The palace is open from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. In the afternoon, you can visit Jagdish Temple, a Hindu temple built-in 1651 AD. The temple is located just outside the palace gates and is open from 4:30 am to 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm to 8:00 pm. In the evening, you can take a boat ride on Lake Pichola to enjoy the sunset and a panoramic view of the city.

  2. Day 2: Saheliyon Ki Bari & Monsoon Palace
    20 minutes (5.3 km) from City Palace

    In the morning, visit Saheliyon Ki Bari, a beautiful garden built by Maharana Sangram Singh in the 18th century. The garden is open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. After that, you can visit the Monsoon Palace, which offers a breathtaking view of the city and its surroundings. The palace is open from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. You can also take a jeep safari to the nearby Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary to spot some wildlife and enjoy the natural beauty of the Aravalli hills.

  3. Day 3: Vintage Car Museum and Fateh Sagar Lake
    25 minutes (6.8 km) from Monsoon Palace

    Start the day at the Vintage Car Museum, which has a collection of classic cars, including Rolls-Royce, Cadillac, and Mercedes-Benz. The museum is open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. In the afternoon, take a break at Fateh Sagar Lake, one of the most popular lakes in Udaipur. You can enjoy a boat ride, visit the Nehru Park, or relax at the many cafes and restaurants around the lake. The lake is open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

  4. Day 4: Haldi Ghati and Kumbhalgarh Fort
    2 hours 15 minutes (80 km) from Fateh Sagar Lake

    In the morning, take a day trip to Haldi Ghati, a historic battlefield where the famous Battle of Haldi Ghati was fought in 1576. You can visit the Haldi Ghati Museum and the Chetak Samadhi, a memorial to Maharana Pratap's horse Chetak. In the afternoon, visit Kumbhalgarh Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most impressive forts in Rajasthan. The fort is open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. You can take a guided tour, explore the fort's many palaces, temples, and gardens, and enjoy the stunning views of the Aravalli hills.
