After a refreshing walk, have lunch at the orchard's in-house cafe, which serves delicious Indian and continental cuisine. In the afternoon, head to the nearby Indian Veterinary Research Institute, where you can visit their museum and learn about the history of veterinary science in India. In the evening, head back to Mukteshwar town and visit the Shiva Temple, which offers incredible views of the valley.
Start your day early and head to the serene Nainital Lake, which is surrounded by hills and offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. You can take a boat ride on the lake, or simply sit by the lake and enjoy the beautiful scenery. In the afternoon, visit the Eco Cave Gardens, where you can explore various interconnected caves and learn about the animals that live in them. In the evening, head to the Naina Devi Temple, located on the northern shore of the lake. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Naina Devi and is one of the most revered Hindu temples in the region.
On your last day, head to the Kilbury Bird Sanctuary, which is home to a variety of bird species, including the Himalayan Griffon, Lammergeier, and the White-throated Laughingthrush. Take a walk through the sanctuary, and if you're lucky, you may even spot some rare bird species. In the afternoon, visit the Snow View Point, which offers panoramic views of the Himalayan range and the surrounding valleys. In the evening, head back to Nainital town and visit the Mall Road, which is a popular shopping destination and offers a wide range of shops and restaurants.
If you have some extra time, you can consider visiting the Mukteshwar Dham, which is a popular Hindu temple in Mukteshwar. You can also try Paragliding and rappelling in Naukuchiatal, which is located about 20 km from Nainital. For a side trip, you can visit the Jim Corbett National Park, which is about 90 km from Nainital and is home to a variety of wildlife species. To maximize your fun, you can plan a trek to the nearby hills or explore the local markets for some authentic local handicrafts. Lastly, do not forget to try the local cuisine, which is a blend of Kumaoni and Garhwali cuisine and is known for its unique and delicious flavour.
