3-Day Adventure Itinerary in Kerala for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Alleppey
    1.5 hours (53 km) from Kochi

    In the morning, get ready for an adventurous day by exploring the backwaters of Alleppey with a kayaking tour. Paddle through narrow canals and enjoy the serene beauty of the lush green paddy fields. After lunch, head to the Marari beach for some surfing lessons. In the evening, go on a night canoe tour to experience the calmness and beauty of the backwaters under the moonlight.

  2. Day 2: Munnar
    4.5 hours (142 km) from Alleppey

    Start the day by trekking to the top of the Anamudi peak, the highest peak in South India. The trekking trail will take you through the lush green forest, and you will get a chance to see some exotic wildlife. After lunch, go on a mountain biking tour to explore the beautiful tea estates and enjoy the stunning views of the Western Ghats. In the evening, visit the Kolukkumalai tea estate, the highest tea plantation in the world, for a tea tasting session and to watch the sunset.

  3. Day 3: Wayanad
    6 hours (272 km) from Munnar

    Start the day early by going on a hot air balloon ride to enjoy the stunning views of the misty hills of Wayanad. After breakfast, head to the Soochipara waterfalls for some thrilling activities like rappelling and rock climbing. In the afternoon, visit the Muthanga wildlife sanctuary for a jeep safari and get a chance to see some of the rarest wildlife species. In the evening, relax at the Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earth dam in India, and enjoy the beautiful view of the sunset.

If you're looking for more adventure, consider visiting the Athirapally waterfalls for some river rafting and trekking. You can also plan a side trip to the Silent Valley National Park for some bird watching and jungle camping. For maximizing your fun, try to attend the Theyyam festival, a popular ritual art form of Kerala, which takes place in Kannur during June.
