3-Day Itinerary for Goa

  1. Day 1: Calangute Beach
    15 minutes (5 miles) from Goa International Airport

    Morning: Start your trip with a visit to Calangute Beach. This bustling beach is known for its water sports activities like parasailing and jet skiing, and is a great place to relax and soak up the sun. Make sure to try some local street food for lunch, such as Goan fish curry or vindaloo.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Waterfalls

    Morning: Start early and travel to Dudhsagar Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. Enjoy a scenic train ride through the Western Ghats and hike to the base of the falls. Swim in the natural pools below and take in the stunning views of the surrounding forest.

    Afternoon: Visit the Mahadev Temple, which is located near the falls and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is an excellent example of Indian temple architecture and is surrounded by lush greenery.

  3. Day 3: Old Goa
    30 minutes (9 miles) from Calangute Beach

    Morning: Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Old Goa, which was the capital of Portuguese India until the 18th century. See the Basilica of Bom Jesus, which is the final resting place of St. Francis Xavier, and the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, which has beautiful frescoes and paintings.

    Afternoon: Visit the Museum of Christian Art, which has a collection of artifacts related to Christianity in Goa. You can also explore the Archaeological Museum and the State Museum of Goa, which has exhibits ranging from art and craft to wildlife and archeology.

    Evening: Take a sunset cruise on the Mandovi River and enjoy Goan music and dance. Sample some local snacks like pork vindaloo and bebinca, a traditional Goan dessert made with coconut milk.

If you have extra time, visit the Chapora Fort, which has panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and is famous for the scene in the movie Dil Chahta Hai.
