Two-Day Itinerary for Kerala in September 2023

  1. Day 1: Munnar
    3 hours 30 minutes (90 miles) from Cochin International Airport

    In the morning, visit Mattupetty Dam, an excellent picnic spot with a beautiful lake view, and Echo Point, a scenic location that provides echoes of your voice.

    In the afternoon, explore Eravikulam National Park, famous for its endangered inhabitant - the Nilgiri Tahr. Also, visit the Tea Museum, to learn about the history and production of tea in Munnar.

    In the evening, stroll through the spice gardens, inhale the aroma of spices, and learn about different spices and their medicinal properties.

  2. Day 2: Alleppey
    4 hours 30 minutes (110 miles) from Munnar

    Spend the morning exploring the backwaters of Alleppey on a traditional houseboat. Enjoy the serene views of the lush green paddy fields and coconut groves.

    In the afternoon, visit Ambalapuzha Sree Krishna Temple, a must-visit temple, with a unique architecture style. Also, check out the Mararikulam Beach, a perfect spot to relax and unwind.

    In the evening, take a stroll through the local markets and indulge in some local delicacies.
