6-Day Family-Friendly Itinerary for Ladakh in August 2024

  1. Day 1: Leh Palace
    15 minutes (3.1 km) from Leh Airport

    Start your journey by exploring the beauty of the Leh Palace, which was built in the 17th century. Take in the stunning views of the city from the top of the palace. In the afternoon, visit the Shanti Stupa where you can enjoy the panoramic views of the city from the top. End the day with a visit to the lively Leh Bazaar, where you can shop for local handicrafts and souvenirs.

  2. Day 2: Magnetic Hill and Pathar Sahib Gurudwara
    1 hour (24 km) from Leh Palace

    Drive to the mysterious Magnetic Hill that appears to pull vehicles uphill, defying the laws of gravity. Afterward, visit the revered Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, which is located on the Leh-Kargil road. The Gurudwara is famous for a large rock believed to have the imprints of Guru Nanak's body.
