3-Day Itinerary for Haridwar in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit Har Ki Pauri
    15 minutes (3.5 km) from Haridwar Railway Station

    In the morning, head to Har Ki Pauri, one of the most important landmarks in Haridwar. Witness the morning Aarti and take a holy dip in the Ganges. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Mansa Devi Temple, accessible by cable car. In the evening, take a stroll along the Ganges and explore the bustling markets nearby.

  2. Day 2: Explore Chandi Devi Temple and Rajaji National Park
    25 minutes (5.5 km) from Har Ki Pauri

    In the morning, visit the Chandi Devi Temple, located atop Neel Parvat and accessible via cable car. Afterward, head to Rajaji National Park, home to a variety of flora and fauna. Take a jungle safari to explore the park's rich biodiversity. In the evening, return to Haridwar and enjoy a delicious dinner at one of the local restaurants.

  3. Day 3: Visit Shantikunj and Maya Devi Temple
    20 minutes (4.8 km) from Rajaji National Park

    In the morning, visit Shantikunj, a spiritual retreat center and the headquarters of the All World Gayatri Pariwar. Attend a spiritual session and learn about the teachings of Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya, the founder of the organization. In the afternoon, head to Maya Devi Temple, one of the oldest temples in Haridwar. In the evening, take a dip in the Ganges and attend the evening Aarti at Har Ki Pauri.

In addition to the above itinerary, you can also consider visiting the Daksh Mahadev Temple, located about 5 km from Haridwar, and the Piran Kaliyar Sharif, a Sufi shrine located about 23 km from Haridwar. For a side trip, you can visit Rishikesh, located about 20 km from Haridwar, and explore its numerous ashrams, temples, and adventure activities such as trekking, rafting, and bungee jumping. To maximize your fun, try the local street food such as chaat, samosas, and kachoris, and shop for souvenirs such as Rudraksha beads, Ganges water, and spiritual books.
