Start your day exploring the rugged terrain of Aruba at Arikok National Park. This protected area covers over 18% of the island and features unique flora and fauna, including the Aruban Burrowing Owl. You can hike, bike, or drive through the park and take in its stunning coastal views.

  • 11:00AM: Natural Pool
45 minutes (12 miles) from Arikok National Park

Take a dip in the refreshing waters of the Natural Pool, a unique natural formation surrounded by volcanic rock. This secluded spot requires a 4x4 vehicle or guided tour to access, but it's well worth it for the picturesque swimming spot and surrounding scenery.

Transportation

Aruba is a small island, and many points of interest are relatively close together. Taxis are available but can be pricey. Renting a car is recommended for visitors who don't mind driving on the right-hand side of the road. 4x4 vehicles are needed to access the Natural Pool due to the terrain.

Travel costs can range from $30-$50 for taxis or $60-$90 for car rentals per day.

Useful Tips

If you have more time, consider adding a visit to Oranjestad for shopping and dining or taking a sunset sail. For a more adventurous trip, try scuba diving or snorkelling at one of the island's reefs. If you have less time, skip the Natural Pool or California Lighthouse.

Airports

Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA) is located in the capital city of Oranjestad and serves as the main gateway to Aruba. It's only a 10-minute drive from downtown and offers flights from several international carriers.
