Bali on a Shoestring Budget in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Ubud
    1 hour 5 minutes (21.2 miles) from Bali International Airport

    In the morning, explore the Tegalalang Rice Terrace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, just outside of Ubud. Take a stroll through the stunning rice paddies and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful views. In the afternoon, visit the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, home to over 700 monkeys and several temples. Make sure to keep an eye on your belongings as the monkeys can be mischievous. In the evening, catch a traditional Balinese dance performance at the Ubud Palace.

  2. Day 2: Kuta
    1 hour (6.4 miles) from Ubud

    In the morning, head to Waterbom Bali, a water park with thrilling slides and attractions for all ages. In the afternoon, visit the Kuta Art Market, a bustling marketplace with a wide variety of souvenirs, clothing, and accessories. Bargaining is expected, so have fun haggling! In the evening, take a stroll along Kuta Beach and catch a beautiful sunset.

  3. Day 3: Seminyak
    25 minutes (6.1 miles) from Kuta

    In the morning, visit the Petitenget Temple, one of Bali's most important sea temples, located on the beach in Seminyak. Afterwards, head to the Potato Head Beach Club for lunch and a swim in the gorgeous infinity pool. In the afternoon, explore the streets of Seminyak and visit the many boutique shops and cafes. In the evening, catch a movie at the iconic beachfront cinema, La Plancha.

If you have time, consider visiting the Pura Ulun Danu Bratan temple, a breathtaking temple located on a lake in the mountains. If you're looking for a side trip, consider taking a boat to the nearby Gili Islands for some snorkelling and relaxation.
