In the morning, we will hike through the stunning Kaliakra National Reserve, filled with scenic cliff-top views of the Black Sea. We will take the trail to the Cape of Kaliakra, where we'll witness the ancient fortress ruins and learn about the legends of the place. In the afternoon, we will explore the Botanical Garden of Balchik, a short drive away. There, we will be surrounded by blooms of exotic and indigenous flowers, waterfalls and ponds. We will visit the palace of Queen Marie of Romania, a fascinating cultural attraction with an interesting history. In the evening we will head to the village of Balchik, where we'll have dinner at the waterfront restaurants and watch the sunset.
Today we will be heading to the Veleka River Valley to experience some adrenaline-pumping activities. In the morning, we will go ziplining through the forest canopy, enjoying the bird's-eye views of the river valley. After a hearty lunch in Sinemorets, we will head to the Devil's Throat Cave, one of the most impressive caves in Bulgaria. We'll explore the cave's chambers, filled with stalactites and stalagmites, and witness the underground river. In the evening, we will head back to Karpathia Mountain, stopping at a local tavern for dinner and drinks.
