Bangalore Adventure Itinerary - July 2023

  1. Day 1: Nandi Hills
    1 hour (25 miles) from Kempegowda International Airport

    In the morning, you'll begin your adventure at Nandi Hills, a beautiful hill station located just outside of Bangalore. Take a leisurely hike up the hill and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding countryside. In the afternoon, explore Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace, a historic palace that showcases the life and times of Tipu Sultan, a Muslim ruler who fought against the British in the late 18th century. Finish your day with a visit to Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, a serene green space in the heart of the city.

  2. Day 2: Savandurga Hill
    1.5 hours (45 miles) from Nandi Hills

    Start your day with a thrilling trek up the Savandurga Hill, the largest monolith in Asia. The trek will take you through a dense forest and steep rocky terrain, but the stunning views from the top are worth it. In the afternoon, head to the Bannerghatta Biological Park, home to a diverse range of wildlife including tigers, lions, elephants, and bears. In the evening, visit Wonderla Amusement Park, an adventure park with thrilling rides and water attractions.

  3. Day 3: Ramanagara
    1.5 hours (40 miles) from Savandurga Hill

    On your final day, visit Ramanagara, a stunning location that has been featured in numerous Bollywood movies. Embark on a thrilling rock climbing and rappelling adventure at Ramadevara Betta, a hill located near Ramanagara. In the afternoon, visit the Janapada Loka Folk Arts Museum, which showcases the art and culture of Karnataka. End your day with a visit to the Innovative Film City, an entertainment complex with a variety of attractions including a wax museum, a dinosaur park, and a haunted mansion.

Recommendations

If you're up for more adventure, consider taking a day trip to the Shivanasamudra Falls, located about 2 hours from Bangalore. The falls are a beautiful sight to behold, and you can even take a boat ride to get up close to the falls. Another great side trip is the Mysore Palace, located about 3 hours from Bangalore. The palace is a stunning example of Indo-Saracenic architecture and is definitely worth the trip. Make sure to try the local cuisine while you're in Bangalore - some must-try dishes include masala dosa, idli, and vada. And don't forget to take a stroll down Brigade Road, one of the busiest shopping areas in the city!
