5-Day Kaza, Spiti, Kalpa, Nuzum Pass Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Kaza
    Start the journey from Shimla (229 km, approx. 9 hours)

    In the morning, explore the Komic village, which is the highest village in Asia. Here, you can see the Tangyud Monastery. In the afternoon, visit the Key monastery, which is the biggest monastery in Spiti valley. In the evening, stroll around the Kaza market and enjoy the local food.

  2. Day 2: Spiti
    2 hours (38 km) from Kaza

    In the morning, visit the Dhankar monastery, which is situated at an altitude of 12,774 feet. Then, head towards Pin valley, which is home to the rare Snow Leopard. In the afternoon, visit the Kungri monastery, which is the second oldest monastery in Spiti. In the evening, relax and enjoy the serene beauty of the valley.

  3. Day 3: Kalpa
    6 hours (202 km) from Spiti

    In the morning, drive to Kalpa, which is a beautiful small town located in the Kinnaur district. Visit the Chaka meadow, which is famous for its beauty and offers an excellent view of the Kinner Kailash range. In the afternoon, visit the Narayan-Nagini temple, which is a beautiful temple that has intricate wood carvings. In the evening, take a stroll around the town and enjoy the local food.

  4. Day 4: Nuzum Pass
    4 hours (82 km) from Kalpa

    In the morning, drive to the famous Nuzum Pass, which is located at an altitude of 4551 meters. This place offers a breathtaking view of the Himalayan range. In the afternoon, visit the Nako Lake, which is a beautiful lake surrounded by the Himalayas. In the evening, relax and enjoy the beautiful views.

  5. Day 5: Departure
    9 hours (240 km) from Nuzum Pass to Shimla

    In the morning, drive back to Shimla from Nuzum Pass. On the way, visit the Sarahan temple, which is a beautiful temple dedicated to Goddess Bhimakali. In the afternoon, drive back to Shimla and reach there by evening.
