Wilmington is easy to navigate by car with plenty of parking garages, valet parking, and street parking options. Uber and Lyft are also available but depending on the distance traveled may be more expensive. Taxis are also available but they may be harder to find.

If you have more time, consider visiting Longwood Gardens. It’s a 30-minute drive from Wilmington but it’s worth the trip to see a vast garden containing thousands of plants and a grand fountain show.
If you have less time, consider skipping the Brandywine Zoo on day 2 and hopping straight to the Hagley Museum and Library.
The Wilmington Airport (ILG) is situated seven miles from Wilmington and provides regular flights to and from major cities. Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is about an hour’s drive from Wilmington, but it offers more frequent flights and connections to additional locations.
