Start your Bali trip at Kuta Beach, one of the most famous beaches in Bali. Known for its gorgeous sunsets and big waves, Kuta Beach is also home to various restaurants, bars, and shops for tourists to indulge in.
Immerse yourself in Balinese culture at Ubud, Bali’s cultural center. Visit the Tirta Empul Temple, where locals perform water purification rituals, and the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary. Wrap up the day with the traditional Kecak dance performance held every evening at Pura Dalem Taman Kaja Temple.
Spend your last day at the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park (GWK), which features a giant statue of the Hindu god Vishnu in a blend of contemporary and traditional Balinese architectural styles. The park also offers a range of cultural performances and exhibitions, along with restaurants and souvenir shops.
Travelers can easily get around Bali by renting a private car with a driver or a scooter. Grab and Gojek (local ride-hailing apps) are also available in Bali. Expect to spend around 150,000-200,000 IDR per day for a private car or 50,000-70,000 IDR per day for a scooter. Traffic in Bali can be heavy, so plan your itinerary accordingly.
If you have more time, consider visiting other beaches such as Seminyak or Nusa Dua. You can also take a day trip to the nearby island of Nusa Penida or go snorkeling or diving in Bali’s crystal-clear waters. If you have less time, consider skipping GWK or a some of the places in Ubud. Always wear sunscreen and stay hydrated as Bali can be hot and humid.
Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) is Bali’s main airport, located in the southern part of Bali, 13 km south of Denpasar. It serves domestic and international flights and provides various facilities such as restaurants, shops, and currency exchange services. The airport is approximately 20-30 minutes from the popular tourist areas such as Kuta, Legian, and Seminyak by car or scooter.
