Relaxing 2-Day Itinerary in Delhi in June 2023

  1. Day 1: India Gate
    20 minutes (5.8 km) from Indira Gandhi International Airport

    Start your day with a visit to India Gate, a war memorial located in the heart of Delhi. Dedicated to the soldiers who died during World War I, India Gate is surrounded by lush green lawns, making it an ideal spot for a morning walk. Take some beautiful pictures and continue the day with a visit to the nearby Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India, and the nearby Parliament House.

    In the afternoon, head to Connaught Place, Delhi's shopping hub, and explore the variety of shops, cafes, and bookstores. You can also visit the nearby Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory built in the 18th century.

    For the evening, treat yourself to a relaxing sunset boat ride at the Purana Qila Lake, located just 20 minutes (8.5 km) from Connaught Place. Enjoy the beautiful view of the lake with the backdrop of the historic Purana Qila fort.

  2. Day 2: Lotus Temple

If you have some time, you may want to visit the Red Fort, one of Delhi's most famous landmarks that served as the residence of the Mughal emperors for nearly 200 years. It is located just 15 minutes (5.4 km) from India Gate.
