3 Days in Goa: A Summer Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Explore Panaji
    30 minutes (12 miles) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, visit the historic Latin Quarter of Fontainhas, which showcases Portuguese architecture. Stop by the 400-year-old Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church and the nearby market. For lunch, enjoy some traditional Goan food at Viva Panjim. In the afternoon, head to the Goa State Museum and the nearby Bishop's Palace, which is now the official residence of the Goa archbishop. In the evening, stroll along the Miramar Beach and watch the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Visit the Beaches
    1 hour (25 miles) from Panaji

    Start your day with a visit to the famous Aguada Fort, which was built by the Portuguese in the 17th century. Next, head to the picturesque Sinquerim Beach and take a dip in the Arabian Sea. For lunch, try some fresh seafood at Britto's on Baga Beach. Spend the afternoon enjoying water sports at Calangute Beach. In the evening, head to the vibrant Anjuna Flea Market, which is only open on Wednesdays.

  3. Day 3: Explore Old Goa
    30 minutes (10 miles) from Panaji

    In the morning, visit the Se Cathedral and the Basilica of Bom Jesus, both UNESCO World Heritage sites. The Bom Jesus Basilica houses the remains of St. Francis Xavier. For lunch, try some traditional Goan fish curry at Vinayak Family Restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Christian Art, which is located in the Convent of Santa Monica. End your day at the Dona Paula Viewpoint, which offers panoramic views of the Arabian Sea.
