2-Day Itinerary in Surat for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Surat Castle

    In the morning, visit Surat Castle, also known as the Old Fort. Built by Muhammed Tughlaq in the 14th century, the fort served as a military defense structure and a prison. The castle has a museum with artifacts like Mughal paintings, coins, and manuscripts. In the afternoon, head to Dumas Beach for some sunbathing and enjoying the Arabian Sea views. In the evening, explore the local markets of Surat, where you can find beautiful sarees, textiles, and jewelry.

  2. Day 2: Sardar Patel Museum
    15 minutes (3.6 km) from Surat Castle

    In the morning, visit Sardar Patel Museum, which houses ancient manuscripts, handicrafts, and artifacts. The museum has a rare collection of Gandhian memorabilia, including letters and photographs. In the afternoon, explore the Dutch Garden, a beautiful garden with ancient Dutch tombs.
