2-Day Mumbai Itinerary for City Experiences in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Gateway of India
    30 minutes (12.5 km) from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

    Start your day by visiting the iconic Gateway of India. Built in 1924, it is one of the most popular landmarks in Mumbai. In the morning, take a boat ride to the nearby Elephanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The caves are known for their rock-cut temples featuring stunning sculptures of Hindu gods and goddesses. Later in the afternoon, explore the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, a historic railway station and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the evening, head to Marine Drive, a picturesque promenade overlooking the Arabian Sea, and enjoy the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Bollywood Tour
    40 minutes (15 km) from the Gateway of India

    Experience the glitz and glamour of Bollywood by taking a studio tour. In the morning, visit Film City, one of the largest film studios in Asia, where you can see behind-the-scenes action of movie-making. In the afternoon, take a guided tour of the famous Filmfare Awards Museum which displays the history of Indian cinema and also offers an interactive experience. In the evening, catch a Bollywood movie at one of Mumbai's iconic cinemas such as Raj Mandir Cinema or Regal Cinema.

Mumbai has a lot of other attractions to offer. If you have time, consider visiting the Haji Ali Dargah, an iconic mosque located in the middle of the Arabian Sea.
