3-Day City Experience Itinerary for Jaipur in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Amer Fort
    30 minutes (7.9 miles) from Jaipur International Airport

    In the morning, visit the stunning Amer Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Be sure to see the Sheesh Mahal, known as the Hall of Mirrors, and the Diwan-i-Am, an open-air hall for public audiences. In the afternoon, head to the nearby Jaigarh Fort, which has terrific views of the surrounding area. In the evening, attend a light and sound show at Amer Fort, which tells the history of the fort and Jaipur.

  2. Day 2: Hawa Mahal and City Palace
    20 minutes (3.8 miles) from Amer Fort

    Start the day by seeing the Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds, with its iconic façade and intricate architecture. In the afternoon, head to the City Palace, a magnificent complex that houses several museums and galleries. Be sure to see the Pritam Niwas Chowk, which depicts the four seasons and Hindu gods. In the evening, visit the nearby Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh II.

  3. Day 3: Jaipur Bazaar and Jal Mahal
    30 minutes (5.8 miles) from City Palace

    Spend the morning exploring the colorful markets of Jaipur, such as Johari Bazaar, Tripolia Bazaar, and Chandpole Bazaar, for souvenirs and handicrafts. In the afternoon, head to Jal Mahal, also known as the Water Palace, a beautiful palace in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. If time permits, visit the nearby Nahargarh Fort, which offers stunning views of the city. In the evening, attend a cultural show at Chokhi Dhani, a Rajasthani-themed village that showcases local music, dance, and food.

If you have more time, consider visiting the Albert Hall Museum, the Birla Mandir Temple, or the Sisodia Rani Garden. For a side trip, head to the nearby town of Ajmer to visit the Ajmer Sharif Dargah and the Ana Sagar Lake. To maximize your fun, try a hot air balloon ride to see the city from above or take a cooking class to learn how to make local dishes. Finally, be sure to try some delicious Rajasthani cuisine, such as dal baati churma, laal maas, and gatte ki sabzi.
