4-Day Adventure Itinerary for Chitkul in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Arrival in Chitkul
    From Shimla (230 km, approximately 8 hours)

    In the morning, arrive in Chitkul and check into your hotel. In the afternoon, head to the Chitkul village to explore the village, its architecture, and the local market. In the evening, visit the ancient Chitkul temple and take a leisurely stroll around the beautiful Chitkul village.

  2. Day 2: Trek to Nagasthi
    10 km trek (approximately 5 hours)

    Spend the morning trekking to Nagasthi, the last Indian village before the Indo-Tibetan border. The trek offers stunning views of the valley and the Baspa river. Enjoy a packed lunch at Nagasthi before heading back to Chitkul in the evening. In the evening, relax and enjoy the beauty of Chitkul.

  3. Day 3: Visit to Kamru Fort and Sangla Valley
    30 minutes (20 km) from Chitkul

    In the morning, drive to Sangla Valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in Himachal Pradesh. En route, visit Kamru Fort, a stunning fort located at an altitude of 2600 m. After the fort visit, proceed to Sangla Valley and explore its picturesque beauty. In the evening, return to Chitkul and enjoy the local cuisine.

  4. Day 4: Departure
    From Chitkul to Shimla (230 km, approximately 8 hours)

    Spend the morning exploring Chitkul on your own. You can go for a short hike, visit the local temple or just relax and enjoy the views. In the afternoon, check out from your hotel and depart from Chitkul back to Shimla.
