Exploring Delhi in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Red Fort
    20 minutes (7.5 km) from Indira Gandhi International Airport

    In the morning, visit the Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and marvel at its intricate architecture and rich history. Then, head over to the Chandni Chowk market for a delicious lunch featuring some of Delhi's best street food. In the afternoon, explore Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India. Finally, end the day with a visit to the Lotus Temple, a beautiful and peaceful Bahá'í House of Worship.

  2. Day 2: Qutub Minar and Humayun's Tomb
    30 minutes (16 km) from Lotus Temple

    Start the day by visiting the Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world. Afterward, go to the nearby Mehrauli Archaeological Park, which houses numerous ancient structures and ruins. In the afternoon, head over to Humayun's Tomb, another UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved Mughal-era tombs in India. Finally, end the day with a visit to the India Gate, a popular picnic spot and a prominent landmark of Delhi.

  3. Day 3: Akshardham Temple and National Museum
    20 minutes (12 km) from India Gate

    Begin the day with a visit to the Akshardham Temple, a magnificent Hindu temple complex known for its stunning architecture and intricate carvings. Afterward, visit the National Museum, which houses a vast collection of artifacts and exhibits related to India's rich history and culture. In the evening, explore the Hauz Khas Village, a trendy and vibrant neighborhood filled with cafes, art galleries, and boutiques.

If you have the time, consider taking a day trip to Agra to visit the iconic Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
