2-Day Nature Itinerary for Nandi Hills in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Nandi Hills Park
    14 km (25 mins) from Bangalore Airport

    Start your day early and arrive at Nandi Hills Park to catch the stunning sunrise. Hike or take a short walk to reach the top of the hill for the best view. After enjoying the scenic view, head to Tipu's Drop, a 600-meter high cliff where Tipu Sultan used to execute prisoners by throwing them off the cliff. From here, head to Amruth Sarovar, a beautiful lake surrounded by serene hills. Spend some time here and enjoy a picnic lunch. In the afternoon, visit the ancient Bhoganandishwara Temple, famous for its intricate architecture and rich cultural heritage. End your day with a visit to the serene Muddenahalli Museum, which showcases the life and achievements of the great Indian philosopher and visionary, Sir M. Visvesvaraya.

  2. Day 2: Skandagiri Hills
    27 km (50 mins) from Nandi Hills Park

    Start your day early and head to Skandagiri Hills, which is a popular spot for trekking and camping. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the hills and take a trek to reach the top. Watch the beautiful sunrise and spend some time exploring the ancient ruins of Tipu Sultan's fortress. After the trek, head to the picturesque Bhimeshwari Fishing Camp, where you can indulge in various activities like fishing, kayaking, and zip-lining. In the afternoon, head to the beautiful Nandi Hills Vineyard and enjoy some wine tasting while admiring the scenic beauty of the hills. End your day by watching the sunset at the beautiful Mekedatu Falls.

If you have extra time, you can also visit the Grover Zampa Vineyards, located at a distance of 25 km from Nandi Hills, which offers a great wine-tasting experience. Another popular spot is the Lumbini Gardens, located near the Nagawara Lake, which is a great place to relax and unwind. For side trips, you can visit the famous Bangalore Palace or the Cubbon Park, both of which are located within an hour's drive from Nandi Hills.
