6-Day Adventure Itinerary in Kedarnath and Rishikesh for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple
    10 minutes (1.3 miles) from Kedarnath Helipad

    In the morning, arrive at Kedarnath and check-in to your hotel. Take a 10 minute helicopter ride to Kedarnath Temple, which is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.   2. Day 2: Vasuki Tal Trek
    1 hour and 30 minutes (4.7 miles) from Kedarnath Temple

    Embark on a trek to Vasuki Tal in the morning. The trek will take you through scenic forests and streams. Reach the glacial lake by afternoon and spend some time there. Begin your return trek in the evening and reach Kedarnath by nightfall.

  3. Day 3: Kempty Falls
    7 hours and 30 minutes (183 miles) from Kedarnath Temple

    Take a long drive to Rishikesh in the morning and check-in to your hotel. On the way, stop at Kempty Falls in Mussoorie and spend the afternoon enjoying the scenic beauty of the waterfall. In the evening, you can explore the local markets of Rishikesh.

  4. Day 4: River Rafting

  5. Day 5: Neer Garh Waterfall Trek

    Embark on a trek to Neer Garh Waterfall, which is a popular trekking destination in Rishikesh. Spend the day trekking, exploring the waterfall and soaking in nature's beauty. In the evening, you can visit the Parmarth Niketan Ashram and participate in the Ganga Aarti.

  6. Day 6: Shivpuri
    45 minutes (16 miles) from Rishikesh centre

    Spend your last day in Rishikesh by going for a hike to Shivpuri. The trail will take you through beautiful forests, waterfalls and offer you amazing views of the mountains and the Ganges. In the afternoon, you can visit the Trimbakeshwar Temple and end the day with a Ganga Aarti at the Parmarth Niketan Ashram.

If you have time, you can also visit the Rajaji National Park, which is famous for its wildlife and birdwatching. Another side trip you can take is to Haridwar, which is an important Hindu pilgrimage site. To maximize your fun, try bungee jumping, flying fox, or giant swing in Rishikesh.
