Start your Thai adventure by exploring the stunning Khao Sok National Park. You can hike to the impressive Cheow Lan Lake, surrounded by soaring limestone cliffs and dense jungle. If you are lucky, you may spot wild elephants, bears or tigers in their natural habitat.
Koh Samui is a tropical paradise with palm-lined beaches, turquoise waters, and pristine coral reefs. Spend your days soaking up the sun, going snorkeling or scuba diving to explore the marine life. Don't forget to visit iconic attractions such as the Big Buddha Temple or the stunning Ang Thong National Marine Park.
Contrary to popular belief, Bangkok is not just a cityscape. There are several nature escapes to explore in and around the city. Head to the ancient city of Ayutthaya to marvel at stunning ruins nestled in nature. Visit the Chatuchak Park, known for its massive weekend market and verdant flora. Or, you can explore the vast greenery of Lumphini Park at the heart of the city.
You can travel around Thailand by plane or bus. The cost for intercity flights usually ranges between 1,500 to 3,500 THB, depending on the distance and travel time. A typical bus ride costs around 300-500 THB per trip and offers a scenic view of the countryside. To move around Bangkok, you may use the BTS Skytrain or MRT Subway, which is a cheap and efficient mode of transportation. Taxis, tuk-tuks, and ride-hailing apps are also readily available at a reasonable price.
If you have more time, you can add a stop at Krabi or Phuket, which are also nature-rich spots. Alternatively, if you have less time, you can skip Koh Samui or Bangkok and focus on exploring nearby areas. Make sure to pack light, comfortable clothes, and wear comfortable shoes for hiking and exploring nature. Always carry sunscreen, insect repellent, and drink plenty of water to remain hydrated.
