7-Day Adventure Itinerary for Ubud, Gilli, and Kuta in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Ubud Art Market
    1 hour 45 minutes (22.6 miles) from Ngurah Rai International Airport

    Start your day exploring the vibrant Ubud Art Market, famous for its traditional handicrafts and souvenirs. Take a break for lunch at a local warung and then head to the nearby monkey forest to play with the cheeky monkeys. End your day with a sunset cocktail at the Jungle Fish pool bar.

  2. Day 2: Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking
    1 hour 30 minutes (30.9 miles) from Ubud Art Market

    Get an early start to climb Mount Batur in the dark to see a spectacular sunrise at the summit. After the trek, visit the nearby hot springs for a relaxing soak and have lunch in the scenic Kintamani area. On the way back to Ubud, stop by the Tegalalang Rice Terraces for some photos.

  3. Day 3: Gili Trawangan Island Hopping
    2 hours 30 minutes (76.3 miles) from Ubud Art Market

    Take a speedboat to Gili Trawangan and spend the day island hopping to Gili Meno and Gili Air on a snorkeling tour. Have lunch at one of the seafood grills and watch the sunset with a cold Bintang in hand. Dance the night away at the beach parties or enjoy a quiet drink at a rooftop bar.

  4. Day 4: Surfing in Kuta
    2 hours (40.8 miles) from Gili Trawangan

    Head over to Kuta for some surfing lessons. Start with the white water and work your way up to the green waves. Have lunch by the beach and then go shopping for souvenirs at the Kuta Art Market. Watch a traditional Kecak dance at the Uluwatu Temple during sunset and have dinner at a seafood restaurant by the beach.

  5. Day 5: Waterbom Bali
    15 minutes (4.9 miles) from Kuta Art Market

    Spend the day at the Waterbom Bali waterpark, which has slides and attractions for all ages. Have lunch at one of the many food stalls and then go souvenir shopping on Jalan Legian. Watch a movie at the Paradiso Cinema in the evening and have dinner at a rooftop restaurant.

  6. Day 6: Bali Swing
    1 hour 30 minutes (29.6 miles) from Waterbom Bali

    Get your adrenaline pumping with the famous Bali Swing, which swings you over the jungle canopy. Have lunch at the nearby Uma Pakel Agrotourism to try the famous Bali Luwak Coffee. Visit the Tegenungan Waterfall for some photos and then have dinner at a fancy restaurant in Seminyak.

  7. Day 7: Seminyak Beach
    15 minutes (3.7 miles) from Tegenungan Waterfall

    Spend your last day relaxing at the Seminyak Beach, which has a great surf break and plenty of beach clubs. Have lunch at one of the beachside restaurants and then go shopping at the Seminyak Square. End your trip with a sunset cocktail at the Potato Head Beach Club.
