Start your day by visiting the Chittorgarh Fort which opens at 9:30 am. The fort is spread over 700 acres and has numerous palaces, temples, towers and reservoirs. Spend your morning exploring the fort and its breathtaking views. Afternoon time could be spent exploring the attractions inside the fort-like Kirti Stambh, Vijay Stambh, Padmini Palace, and Rana Kumbha Palace. In the evening, take a walk on the fort walls and enjoy the sunset view with your family.
On day 2, visit Gaumukh Reservoir and Meera Temple in the morning. The Gaumukh Reservoir is a stunning man-made lake that derives its name from the cow-head-shaped stone at the dam. Meera Temple is believed to be the birthplace of the famous poetess Meera Bai. Take a boat ride in the reservoir and enjoy the scenic beauty. In the afternoon, visit the Rana Ratan Palace and Fateh Prakash Palace. In the evening, you can take a stroll in the local market and indulge in the local delicacies.
If you have an extra day, you can also visit Bassi Wildlife Sanctuary which is around 30 km from Chittorgarh. You can also take a day trip to the nearby city of Udaipur which is known for its lake palaces, forts, and temples. To maximize your fun, you can also go for a hot air balloon ride or a camel safari in the desert. Don't forget to shop for traditional handicrafts and textiles in the local bazaars.
