Exploring Mumbai in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Gateway of India
    30 minutes (9.3 km) from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus

    In the morning, visit the iconic Gateway of India and take a boat ride to the Elephanta Caves. In the afternoon, explore the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, a museum showcasing art, heritage and culture of Mumbai. In the evening, try some local street food at the nearby Crawford Market.

  2. Day 2: Marine Drive
    20 minutes (5.6 km) from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus

    Start the day with a walk along the beautiful Marine Drive promenade. In the afternoon, visit the Mani Bhavan Gandhi Museum, dedicated to the life and works of Mahatma Gandhi. In the evening, head to the nearby Chowpatty Beach and try some local snacks and watch the sunset.

  3. Day 3: Haji Ali Dargah
    25 minutes (8.5 km) from Marine Drive

    In the morning, visit the iconic Haji Ali Dargah, a mosque located on a tiny island off the coast of Mumbai. Afternoon can be spent exploring the Nehru Science Centre, a museum dedicated to science and technology. In the evening, go shopping at the nearby High Street Phoenix mall.

  4. Day 4: Sanjay Gandhi National Park
    1 hour 20 minutes (34.9 km) from Haji Ali Dargah

    Go on a morning safari at the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, home to a variety of flora and fauna. In the afternoon, visit the Kanheri Caves, ancient Buddhist caves located within the park. In the evening, relax at the nearby Powai Lake.

  5. Day 5: Juhu Beach
    45 minutes (13.7 km) from Sanjay Gandhi National Park

    The final day can be spent relaxing at the Juhu Beach and trying some local snacks. In the afternoon, visit the nearby ISKCON temple. In the evening, take a stroll around the Bandra-Worli Sea Link and enjoy the panoramic view of Mumbai.
