5-Day Shoestring Budget Itinerary for Meghalaya in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Shillong
    30 minutes (8.3 km) from Shillong Airport

    In the morning, explore the vibrant Police Bazar where you will find local shops, cafes, and restaurants. In the afternoon, take a short trek to the Elephant Falls to witness the mesmerizing beauty of the waterfall.   2. Day 2: Cherrapunjee
    2 hours (54 km) from Shillong

    In the morning, visit the Nohkalikai Falls which is the tallest plunge waterfall in India. Afterward, head to the Mawsmai Cave which is a well-lit cave with interesting limestone formations. In the afternoon, trek to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge which is an engineering marvel. In the evening, enjoy the sunset at the Seven Sisters Falls.

  3. Day 3: Dawki
