Meghalaya Nature Itinerary - June 2023

  1. Day 1: Shillong
    30 minutes (8.4 km) from Shillong Airport

    Begin your trip with a visit to Shillong Peak, the highest viewpoint in the city. After taking in the breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys, head to the Elephant Falls, a three-tier waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. For lunch, try the local Khasi cuisine at Jadoh or Trattoria. In the afternoon, visit the Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures to learn about the various tribal cultures of Meghalaya. End the day with a stroll at Ward's Lake, a beautiful man-made lake in the city center.

  2. Day 2: Cherrapunjee
    2 hours 15 minutes (54.4 km) from Shillong

    Start your day with a visit to Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint, which offers stunning views of the valley, followed by a visit to the Nohkalikai Falls, the highest plunge waterfall in India.     Start your day early with a trek to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge in Nongriat, a natural wonder that will leave you amazed. The trek takes around three hours and is moderately difficult.
