3-Day Family-Friendly Itinerary for Goa

  1. Day 1: Calangute Beach
    1 hour (8.5 miles) from Dabolim Airport

    Start your day with a stroll along the picturesque Calangute Beach. With soft golden sand and clear blue water, it's the perfect spot for a morning swim. After a refreshing dip, head over to one of the beach shacks for a leisurely breakfast. Spend the afternoon exploring the many boutiques and shops in the area, and don't forget to try some local Goan delicacies like fish curry and vindaloo. As the sun sets, take a relaxing walk along the beach and catch the beautiful sunset. Before dinner, head to the nearby Baga Beach for some exciting water sports.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Waterfalls
    2 hours 30 minutes (46 miles) from Calangute Beach

    Get an early start and head to the stunning Dudhsagar Waterfalls. The waterfalls are located in the Bhagwan Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary and are surrounded by lush greenery. You can take a dip in the refreshing waters or go for a short hike to enjoy the scenic beauty. Be sure to carry snacks and water with you. On your way back, stop by the spice plantations to learn about the various spices grown in the area. Spend your evening relaxing back at your hotel or exploring the local markets.

  3. Day 3: Anjuna Flea Market
    30 minutes (9 miles) from Calangute Beach

    Start your day at the vibrant and bustling Anjuna Flea Market. Open only on Wednesdays, the market is filled with stalls selling everything from clothes and jewelry to handicrafts and souvenirs. After a morning of shopping, head over to the nearby Chapora Fort for some stunning panoramic views of the area. For lunch, head to the nearby Vagator Beach and dine at one of the many beachside restaurants. Spend your afternoon exploring the many art galleries and museums in the area before heading back to your hotel.

If you have some extra time, be sure to check out the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage site that houses the remains of St. Francis Xavier. The Goa State Museum, located in the capital city of Panaji, is another must-visit for history buffs. For adventure seekers, take a day trip to Grande Island for some scuba diving and snorkelling. Don't forget to try some of the local seafood and cashew feni liquor, both of which are famous in Goa. Finally, be sure to catch a sunset at the beautiful Palolem Beach.
