Three-Day Itinerary for Goa

  1. Day 1: Explore the Beaches of North Goa
    20 minutes (9.6 km) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, head to the famous Baga Beach to enjoy some water sports such as parasailing, banana boat rides and jet skiing. For lunch, visit Britto's, a beach shack renowned for its seafood. In the afternoon, proceed to Anjuna Beach, which is famous for its flea market selling clothes, jewellery and handicrafts. In the evening, visit the Chapora Fort, which is a perfect spot to enjoy the sunset and offers a stunning view of the Arabian Sea.

  2. Day 2: Explore the Churches and Temples of Old Goa
    30 minutes (16.5 km) from North Goa

    In the morning, visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It houses the remains of St. Francis Xavier, a patron saint of Goa. After that, visit the Se Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Asia. For lunch, stop by Martin's Corner to enjoy some authentic Goan cuisine. In the afternoon, visit the Shri Manguesh Temple, which is a beautiful example of Hindu architecture. In the evening, visit the Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, which is situated in the heart of Panaji and beautifully lit up at night.

  3. Day 3: Explore the Dudhsagar Waterfalls and Spice Plantations
    2 hours (75 km) from Old Goa

    In the morning, take a tour of the spice plantations to learn about the cultivation of various spices such as cardamom, pepper and vanilla. For lunch, stop at one of the spice plantations for a traditional Goan meal. In the afternoon, visit the Dudhsagar Waterfalls, which are one of the highest waterfalls in India. You can also take a dip in the natural pool at the base of the waterfall. In the evening, return to your hotel and relax.

Recommendations

Goa is a beautiful place and there is so much to explore. If you have more time, consider visiting the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary or taking a dolphin watching tour. You can also take a day trip to the neighbouring state of Karnataka to visit the famous Gokarna Beach. To maximize your fun, rent a scooter or a bike to explore Goa's scenic roads. Make sure to visit the local markets to buy souvenirs. Lastly, try the local Feni drink to complete your Goan experience.
