Exploring Goa in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Basilica of Bom Jesus
    30 minutes (14.5 km) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site and admire the baroque architecture of the Basilica of Bom Jesus. In the afternoon, explore the nearby St. Augustine Tower ruins and learn about the history of Portuguese colonisation. In the evening, stroll through the Fontainhas neighbourhood, known for its colourful streets and Portuguese-style houses.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Waterfalls
    2 hours (70 km) from Basilica of Bom Jesus

    Spend the morning hiking to the stunning Dudhsagar Waterfalls and take a dip in its refreshing pools. In the afternoon, visit the spice plantations and learn about the various spices and herbs that grow in the region. In the evening, head to the lively Anjuna Beach and enjoy the sunset with some delicious cocktails.

  3. Day 3: Fort Aguada
    1 hour 20 minutes (20 km) from Dudhsagar Waterfalls

    Visit Fort Aguada in the morning and learn about its strategic importance during the Portuguese era. In the afternoon, spend some time at the Calangute Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Goa. In the evening, head to the Baga Beach and enjoy the nightlife and seafood shacks.

  4. Day 4: Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary

    Explore the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary in the morning and spot various species of birds. In the afternoon, head to the Divar Island and cycle around the scenic countryside. In the evening, visit the Reis Magos Fort and enjoy the panoramic views of the Mandovi River.

  5. Day 5: Casino Cruise
    1 hour (15 km) from Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary

    Spend the morning at the Miramar Beach and enjoy some water sports. In the afternoon, take a casino cruise and try your luck at the various games. In the evening, head to the Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception, a beautiful church with a stunning view of Panjim city.

  6. Day 6: Tito's Lane

    Spend the morning at the Candolim Beach and relax on the golden sand. In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Goa and admire the contemporary art. In the evening, head to the famous Tito's Lane and experience the vibrant nightlife.

You can also try the local drink feni, made from cashew or toddy palm. For a side trip, head to the picturesque village of Aldona and visit the Corjuem Fort.
